I actually JUST noticed it when I saw a WQ screenshot. Take a look at it here: 

If you look at the red arrows I've drawn from Aleu's eyes, you'll notice she is indeed not looking at Balto, she is looking right ABOVE his head! I do indeed blame the lazy drawing of the movie, but it was such a subtle mistake!               

EDIT: I've gotten people telling me 'does it matter?' and 'she's turning to face him'. If that was the case then she'd STILL be looking up! It wouldn't matter if she was just going to turn her head. Though I'm sure this is the part where she says "Don't you see?" a moment BEFORE she turns her head.

Though I DID get an interesting comment...Not only is Aleu looking somewhere odd, but Balto's staring at her neck.

Technically, they made her pupils so large that it doesn't matter if they aren't centered exactly on Balto because it still creates the allusion that she's looking directly at him. And in actuality, Balto is staring at her nose. Don't forget, he is taller than Aleu, so he has to look down at her.

You have a great point! This article was good. But eventually I think the animators didn't put much effort or detail to make everything 100%. But this article was really good. I thought it was great! I did notice that but I just thought she was just turning her head. On the other hand I should be saying does it really matter but you've made a really good point. So yeah. I thought you did well on this article.
