I've been wondering, what's with Aleu's eyes? Neither Balto nor Jenna have blue eyes!
Maybe she got it from her grandparents or her great great grandparents?
I've been wondering about this for a while now, and I'm a bit confused. Does anybody know why she has blue eyes and her parents don't?
One reason I've been thinking about is that maybe Jenna bred with Steele before Balto? He does have blue eyes, and it may be possible. Just one of my theories.

If jenna bred with Steele than Balto, Aleu would be much older and she wouldn't of been born with balto's pups as for the blue eyes i don't think it really matters having to do with jenna or balto because jenna has different eye colour to Balto and we know nothing about grandparents Aniu has yellow eyes so I don't know there just colours right remember all the other balto pups had different eye colours too ill let u know if I find anything about it:P

i think the animators were just being creative. With wolves though, isn't it the pups hat have blue eyes, and then they turn amber-goldish as they reach adult hood? i don't know if adult wolves can have blue eyes.:/:

Blue is a classically "Husky" eyecolor. Since at the moment I can't remember if Jenna is a Husky or a Malamute, I'm going to say Aleu got her eyecolor from her paternal grandfather.

I always thought that she might of gotten it from Balto's father, maybe this 'mistake' is another hint (besides Balto's tan and cream colour) of what Balto's father may of looked like since Aniu has red eyes like Balto, so it can't be from her.:!

Whatever the reason the artists have for giving Aleu blue eyes is, huskies naturally have blue eyes, so maybe it's just a trait that she got from one of Jenna's relatives ^_^

Jenna IS a husky but they mostly have blue eyes BUT brown can occur as easily as blue in huskys from the same litter. Aleu got it from her realatves.

Let's be serious for a moment. Despite the fact that the characters in Balto are smarter than the average dogs, they're not anthropomorphized and they don't have the same values as humans do, even though they're probably similar. Steele is the alpha in Juneau, and if Steele wants something Steele gets it. Just sayin'. And as for the blue eyes, I'm not sure but I believe it's a recessive trait in huskies that often breeds true because most of the dogs share a hybrid gene. Therefore, if Jenna is a hybrid and Balto was carrying half of the gene from his father, it makes sense that Aleu has blue eyes.

I dont think Jenna bred with steele.Because at the begaining of the first Balto movie she talked junk about him to her friends.Maybe it can be from that white wolf as known as Balto's mother,because the wolf has blue eyes but I am not sure...so dont expect me to have the answer.
