Balto - Analysis

Did you liked the jazz sequence in Balto 3?

steet :

Well, if you didn't, here's the guy who is responsible of this music :

http://www.drum-tracks.com/

He seems to be a freelance music maker, and he has an extract from that music on his site...Now, is that the reason this music seems outplaced in the film?

Hm, I don't know

The jazz music was really out of place in Balto 3. In fact, I hated just about all the music. But " You Don't Have to be a hero" was all right.

the jazz part was okay, but i still prefer "You Don't Have to be a Hero";)

baltolover99, July 03, 2005 at 00: 48

I enjoyed the music in Balto three. It was very sweet. I liked it all except for Stella's song..

CrazyboutBalto, July 06, 2005 at 15: 27

The balto sequels would have been a whole lot better without the music with singing in it and if the animation had been done more true to the original.:/:

Balto Wolfe, July 15, 2005 at 11: 49

some of that song sounded like something off of crash bandicoot: team racing; to me anyway

Snowy, July 24, 2005 at 09: 54

The music fits perfectly in the movie.:P

DoMa DiBo, August 06, 2005 at 23: 54

It 's good music.:p

Writewolf, August 23, 2005 at 19: 22

good music except for Stella's song. 'You don't have to be a Hero' is the best!:P :p ;)

snowwolf, September 07, 2005 at 05: 47

i loved all of the songs but, Stella's song *twitches*

Balto fan from Toledo, October 05, 2005 at 05: 25

I personally felt it was a little out of place there. Funny Universal find the 'right' man for the job there. Perhaps I should hire him to pepper up a scene in future OVA I might do. :P

baltomoviefan, December 19, 2005 at 23: 45

okay, Stella's song, and "You don't have to be a hero" were okay...i'm glad i found this article cuz i was gonna post something ike this too! but i wont now because it was already pointed out. lol

The jazz music was really out of place in that scene. Some dramatic piece would have been much more fitting.

I loved that music! I thought it was the best track in the whole movie!

I thought it was a pretty bad misuse, actually, but ignoring that, it was a good piece. Just put in the wrong place.

I actually liked the jazz music during the waterfall...to me, it gave Balto a "new twist". I'm weird like that.

Balto (the original. Not sure about Wings of Change) takes place in the 20s, which was coined "the Jazz age". They're probably keeping with the decade.

Sora-kun is right. Jazz was the music they listened to back then. Don't know why they'd put rock music in a vidoe that takes palce back then.
