I was watching music vids and got to thinking. Balto and TLK are alike in in alot of ways.
1.Balto and Simba both have parents who died.
2.Both Balto and Simba's parent(s) who died came to them(spiritually) in time of need.

3. Simba and Balto both have daughters who are alike in personality.

4. Timon and Pumba--Muk and Luk

5.Rafiki and Boris

6. This may be common in movies but both Balto and Simba meat a girl that they end up falling in love and having children with.
7.Kiara and Aleu claim there is more to them.
'Thats only half of who I am.'-Kiara
'I know what I am but not who I am.'-Aleu
8. Both fathers are protective.
9. Steel--Zira

10. Jenna and Nala are not as up tight as Simba and Balto.
11.Nala--JennaNot only are the movies alike in characters but in plot.(so to say)
I hope you enjoyed reading my artical. :)

Did anyone notice that The Lion King was really similar to that one Japanese anime by Osamu Tezuka called Kimba the White Lion? I liked Balto better, though.:/: |

I do think Kimba was a remake of TLK. Also spirits are no longer living. Thanks all.;) |

Kimba was made before TLK came out, Disney basically just re-did the idea with permission of course but since the company that made Kimba had gone out of bussiness they could not sue. |

Wow, so much in common:P |

wolfhound, Kimba came out in 1965, and Lion King came out in 1994. Simba is the copy-cat, not Kimba. And DrewTheWolf, Tezuka Productions wasn't out of buisness when Lion King came out. They made one more movie for Kimba called "Jungle Emperor Leo" in 1997. It was the last Kimba production. And I highly doubt they had permission because there were arguments between the two companies. And to make it worse, Disney claimed they never heard of Kimba! |

The only thing I disagree on is Aniu as a spirit in B1. To me she looked alive-not a spirit. Where in the movie dose it say she atchually died?. Balto says "I was seperated from her when I was very young" |
