Yea they also did it for younger viewers...so it didn't have unsuitable viewing, they do this in most films like Disney ones. |

Well, it makes perfectly sense that Balto wasn't overwhelmed with gushing wounds and sickening bruises. Most people wouldn't like watching a family movie such as Balto with a bunch of gory stuff in it.°x° |

Like the others said, this is a family movie, and a bleeding Balto wouldn't be a good idea... But you can notice that after some of the scenes you listed, Balto looks painful. |

togos right, he may not have been killed, but doesnt mean he's invincible, if he was invinible, he wouldnt have felt the pain right?:! |

| Goblincleaver, November 06, 2005 at 22: 04 | ||

Maybe it's the wolf-blood in him, or the animators were probably trying to get something out-LOL!lol Aleu was kinda like that too if you notice! |

I agree with Jenna_Husky, it is creepy. In one of the stories that I am writing one of my people (oops, I mean zebras *lol* :P lol ) seem to have the best of luck. It's not 'till the end that they find out he's really a spirit! :p ;) |

I think he did get hurt, but his fur coat masked any bruses he reseved, the cold also would have cut off any bleeding. buy the time he got to Nome he probable crashed and fell asleep for a week. I know I would. :p |

maybe he used a cheat code?lol |

| Grhaeh Lit, November 09, 2005 at 06: 54 | ||

Or hacks... Well snow cushioned his fall, he was out for awhile i guess so he may have had a mini-coma, he gets attacked by Steele but when he gets thrown into the sharp rock you can she that one of his legs go limp for a short time, The freezing water would have killed him if he had stayed longer but he was only there for awhile evn though the seen was about 5 minutes in the movie world he was probably in water i 'unno 30 seconds? So its probably dumbed down to make it more suitable |

yes i agree with velvet loz because he's the main character you can't have the main character die in the film because if young kids watch it and they love balto and he died in the film they will cry there eyes out:) |
||
| A wanderer, December 02, 2005 at 10: 15 | ||

that part I can agree with. I have seen what happens when a main character dies. -sniff- |
||
| Silver Snow, December 09, 2005 at 21: 46 | ||

Agred he is the main character most likely the main character never dies, pluss it's made for more for kids, and well you know when it's not your time to die it symply isn't, Balto is very perverant (sp?) meaning that he won't give up, if he had died he would obvielsly lost, and it woulfd have destroyed a part of the movie, but well personally I would like to see Balto bleed a little bit. |
||
| Goblincleaver, December 17, 2005 at 06: 34 | ||

I think Disney and all the other second-fiddle animation studios would have had all the Amblimation animators "cease-to-be" if they had made Balto bleed or somethinglol |
||
| Shadow-DHP, December 25, 2005 at 04: 44 | ||

well you know, its kinda a kids movie, so they're not gonna really show any cuts or blood or bruises |
||
| Silver Snow, January 03, 2006 at 01: 04 | ||
|
Allthout it would be kinda intresting to see him get hurt..... |
||
| me, January 11, 2006 at 23: 16 | ||

it just shows how strong he is, and the wolf part of him is showing through, wolves are much more hardy then dogs. thats what Boris said "a dog cannot make this journey alone, but, mabey a wolf can":cool: |

ok one he is a wolf two its a kids movie wouoldn't look good if balto died or came back limping in pain or cut up or half dead its all about the happy ending. |

It ain't weird, its just sorta 'censored' for the younger viewers. I mean, what will the kids think if Balto has a slash wound on his face and a broken paw? No doubt its kinda unbelievable that he isn't injured, but its for the 'happy ending', like 'balto is the best movie ever' said. |

It's the size of his heart that makes him invincible. |

Maybe someone gave him energy potions for eternal life.

I think it's supposed to show that he has a strong will to live, so he does whatever he can to survive, and always gets back up. |

wop no blood stuff because littleees watch this movie ,
its like pokemon, if pikachu gets badly hurt, it turns into
a bandaid suddenly, but, this makes it better by ignoring
it...

Well, first of all, he could be stronger than a normal dog or husky because he is part wolf. Second, they wanted this movie to be suitable for younger viewers, too (I was about five when I saw the movie). And last but not least, he's Balto! They couldn't make him die because he's the main character! Am I right? |
