Boris' accent

One thing that struck me as funny when I watched Balto in French is that somewhere in between French and English, Boris lost his accent. I realize how hard it might be to find somebody with a Russian accent who speaks French, but couldn't Universal have tried  a little harder?

Huh. I never watched the French version, since I'm monolingual. But isn't what someone is saying more important than the accent they speak with?

I noticed that, too! It just goes to show you that Universal did a sloppy job on Baltos 2 and 3

French would sound funny spoken by a guy who has a Russian accent...Lol It's translation, so I guess you could excuse it.

idk. even if they DID try harder, they probably still wouldn't have found someone who can speak french with a russian accent...unless they found a russian actor who's fluent in french

I agree with Dragon Tamer. It shouldn't matter what accent the speaker has, only what the speaker speaks.
