Two dixies, both the same in some way

Has anyone watched the Fox and the Hound 2. There is a character named Dixie there and it occured to me how she and our Dixie from Balto have some things in common Important IF YOU HAVE NOT WATCHED THE MOVIE THE FOX AND THE HOUND 2, DO NOT READ THIS. IT'S A BIT OF A SPOILER.

Similarities:

Mate-
What I mean by this is they're both trying to impress a male in the movie. Like Dixie in Balto wants to impress Steele and Dixie in TFATH2 wants to impress Cash in a way.

Looks-
Both girls care about the way they look. Dixie in TFATH2 makes sure she looks cute and wears a black bow. Balto's Dixie wears a new collar, and possibly has more.

Personality-
Both of them got attitiude. Cash and Dixie often argue with each other during rehearsal constantly. And our Dixie knocked the bone out of Steeles mouth.



Differences:

Breed-
No one is excactly sure of Dixie's breed in Balto. And I think Dixie form the TFATH2 is between a setter and a golden retriever.

Friends-
Balto's Dixie has Jenna and that one other dog ( sorry I don't know her name, I don't have the first movie and I have only watched it a few times) and Dixie from hte TFATH2 has Cash, Zelda, Waylon, Floyd, and Granny Rose.

Situation-
Dixie from Balto doesn't really have a conflict in the movie. She is just a character that adds some information to the story. Meanwhile, Dixie from the TFATH2 feels cheated and replaced when Copper joins the band. She is one of the main characters in the movie.

Sorry I couldn't add pictures. I couldn't find any from The Fox and the Hound 2.

Sorry, but I don't think they have alot in common. I didn't realy like the fox and the hound 2, it was cheesey. Balto is way better.

I supose they both have a few similarities in common, although I haven't had the chance to see Fox & The Hound II, I think this is an okay article. I seem SOME similarities, but not much. Maybe if I saw F&TH2, I wouldn't be so sceptical. Haha.

I've just got the fox and the hound 2 on dvd in december 12 wednesday and i was watching balto and i notdic that dixie is in balto and the other dixie is in tfath2

Gah! I went to edit my comment and it's gone, what happened to it?! It must have been a glitch of some sort with the site...anyway. Both Dixies are two of my all-time favorite characters! I have loads of images of TFATH2's Dixie. Well, I find all your comparisons definitely very valid. ^^ As pupmagenheimer said, Sylvie is Dixie's and Jenna's Afghan hound friend in Balto. I also like that he said TFATH's Dixie is a "cartooned" Afghan, because it's closer to my opinion, which is that she's a Saluki mix. Some of my favorite cartoon dogs are Saluki-like ones who are sometimes mistakenly called Afghans, but don't have long hair except for the ears and tail. (They often do sport a very awesome topknot of sorts modeled after humanlike hair, too, though ;) I don't agree with the idea that Dixie (or All Dogs go to Heaven's Sasha LaFleur) is a Setter (or a Retriever)--they just don't resemble those breeds, although I could see some mixing with such dogs as being very possible. I think it was Sasha's being called a Setter in the first place that caused it with Dixie. Because "(Irish) Setter mix" seems to often be given (probably unofficially) for Dixie, clearly only because of Sasha's 'official' mislabeling in the first place. Unless people just really have no idea what they look like, or don't know of a better one. But they don't even go back far enough to Oliver & Co.'s Rita, the real first character of that type, who WAS called an Afghan-almost accurately. *shuts up* XD

Ha, ha. xD Pomeranian is a much better guess than Lowchen. ^~ They could take the cold better. But remember, even a sensitive toy breed can live in a cold climate! They'd just need some special care.
