Are Dusty and Kodi really a couple?

Who came up with Dusty and Kodi being a couple? I think they were never meant to be a couple. If the director wanted them to be a couple he would have put in something to show they liked each other. Like looking at each other a lot, or dreams about one another. Another thing I found out is they argue a lot!

They also got into a hissy fit just before Kodi went to look for Balto. What do you think?

Arguing is just part of forming a relationship. Friends argue and couples argue. Some set aside the rifts between them and others don't. In the picture that is posted she isn't arguing with anyone but trying to end the complaining that Ralph and Kirby do when they do not want to be blamed or anything. When a person likes another, that person doesn't have to express himself outright. He or she can keep their feeling to themselves.

Yeah I don't think they make a good couple either. In the scene where Kodi was mentioning to the dogs about finding his father Dusty says "Joining the other side??" She was basically accusing him. Now I don't know about you, but I don't think GOOD couples make bad accusations. Now, I think Dusty and Ralph make a good couple. I'm not saying they ARE a couple, it's just that there seemed to be more going on between them. And I'm also not saying that Dusty and Kodi COULDN'T like each other. In fanfics, maybe, in another sequel, possibly. But not in this movie. Like what Railwolf said.

I haven't count how many times people thinks that Dusty and Kodi is good couple... Well I at least wont write in fanfic anything likt them (might if I make sequel from someones fanfic with premission) also there is no flirtin or showing that they like each others, Dusty nuzzled Ralph in that one part friendly and Kodi is only green horn in WoC in team and new on it. So I bet Dusty and Kodi doesn't even know each others well only team-mates nothing more nothing less I can say. Making them a couple...naah I could skip that off even they look nice together but no in my mind°x°

Ok this is my last say on the subject. Dusty and Kodi look like they are the same age. so probavly they grow up together so they are good freinds after hours of rewinding and fastfowerdin, and slow motion. I've noticed two things, Dusty is usually sticking around Kodi when ever the team is running Dusty is usally close to Kodi pointing out that they were at least good friends. and guys who think Dusty and Kodi did not even know each other, I'm sure before the job they had meet. An Dusty did not nuzzle Ralph she simple splashed him. In my point of View Dusty and Ralph were litter mates. brother and sister. like cat said and I agree 90 percent with her. we have no proof that Kodi and Dusty had anything going except friendship. All A'm saying is that they seem to be REALLY good friends that could lead to more.

I found another article like this one, and I'll say the same here. I am a HUGE fan of Kodi s Dusty stories, and may even have something with those two in my next Toby fanfic (drawing on the precedent set by redwolf03's "The Right Time). Any romance between the two would have been distracting from the overall plot of the movie. I realize there were indications of a possible attraction to Ralph on Dusty's part, but I think she'd be pretty dumb to pick him. I mean he's lazy, doesn't show much intelligence, and to top it off there's that toenail business. Talk about pathetic! Plus, remember who was the first to follow Kodi when he went to help Balto? Dusty. And with the arguing, Aljan is absolutely right. Arguments are just a part of any relationship, romantic or otherwise. I've never had even one friend, including my sort-of-girlfriend, who I haven't argued with at one time or another. And my characters argue too, because that's what friends do. ESPECIALLY when they are-or may become-more than friends. The starring "dynamic duo" of my stories are often found butting heads both literally (see Toby Part One: Hero Worship) and figuratively.

I've talked with a friend of mine about this before when I was writing a fanfiction for another site. As far as we could tell, the reasoning behind this pairing is that Dusty was quite simply the only female dog of the same age and breed as Kodi in the film so there isn't much of a choice in the matter.

I have to disagree, sure they argue, so I know a LOT of coulpes that argue, including my brother. Yes I am a guy and not that lovey dovey guy but I know that Dusty and Kodi are a good couple. Yes they Look at each other a LOT more than they argue just study their scenes. That's what I did. Study their scenes and watch their every move enspesally the first scene in the "Everything flies" song. You'll see what I'm talking about

I just needed to add this, even IF Dusty was going out with Ralph, it doesn't mean their meant for each other, its not against the law to have only one GF/BF, who knows, in the movie it could just b a simple crush, and maybe later Dusty falls for Kodi. That is what may have happned, but power to the fans.
