Well, I think they will be a good couple NOOTT!!!
Kodi and Dusty were just FRIENDS! And mind you, Dusty kind of HAD a boyfriend in B3!!!...Who?...The fat grey one [I kind of forgot the name]. Now I don't know why anyone else has noticed that Dusty nuzzles him and splashes the water off him in the movie!!! Maybe this is a bad article, but I just wanted to point this out!

I think not that Ralph is Dustys boyfriend, the three mail dogs Kirby. Ralph and Dusty are just friends. With Kodi i think it is a bit more. Not a great love but it looks so as it can be in the future, maybe in the next movie there will be more and they appear as a pair maybe with puppies!

Dusty and Ralph do not seem like a good couple. Ralph complains too much and I doubt that Dusty would be able to endure that if they were to become mates. Kodi seems like the ideal choice because he likes to be on time, when wanting to action he proves why it is a reasonable and honorable. I'd also like to point out when Kodi went off to help his father, Dusty is the one who seems to follow him. It is also her expression in her eyes that tell me that she is she feels something for Kodi.

Yep I hafta agree with you, that there is more proof of a, for lack of a better word, intimate relation ship between Dusty and Ralph, than with Dusty and Kodi. Aljan --> Why wouldn't they seem like a good couple? Just because Ralph complains, doesn't mean she can't like him. Sure, she seemed a bit irritated when he accidentally ran into her while they were running, but one would get irritated at anyone if they were trying to consentrate on something. And just because Dusty seemed like the one to follow Kodi, Dusty was the voice of reason for that scene. Along with Kirby and Ralph in that scene, she was just showing expression that she, too, was feeling bad about leaving Duke in the cold and that saving him was the right thing to do. So YEAH! I agree with you, Trixie~Wulf! :P

You guys just don't think Dusty and Ralph would be a good couple because Ralph is fat! °x° :p Dusty never showed any affection towards Kodi at all during the movie. What "adoring glances"? I failed to see any that weren't just the natural ways her face fell. When Dusty splashed Ralph you could tell that it was playful by how they BOTH smiled. Then Ralph was like :P And chased her. They're obviously THEN beginning to dig (no pun intended) on each other. Besides, Ralph was comic relief in that movie, so Dusty would want a funny guy, its human nature. Even for a dog °x° Besides, Kodi's a dweeb and here's why. Though his character is naturally sweet and well-developed, he's a dweeb for having that "beginner's optimism" about his job (note: his little speech about the US mail at the beginning of the movie) And another example: him giving in to peer pressure. The scene where Balto tells the sleddogs about Duke being lost, Dusty, Kirby and Ralph all glare at Kodi, obviously sending him a signal saying "You better agree with us" Instead of going with the right choice, Kodi gave in and told his Dad what the sleddogs were thinking, masking that they were his OWN thoughts. Later on, he gives the speech about being a sleddog and helping people and goes off to help Balto. Yes, he does eventually make his own choice, but he gave in to peer pressure first! I understand that without him saying no to his father the first time, it would make Kodi "too good" but even so, this scene alone makes him Mr. Good Guy, and doesn't really change it. So, yeah, that's ANOTHER reason why I think Dusty and Ralph were more of a couple than Kodi and Dusty were. lol

Kodi never said that in the movie tho O_o And Dusty complained about the ice and snow being slippery after they were actually DOING their job. At the beginning of the movie. And they had Ralph say "let's stop" in the scene you're talking about, to show humor on his part ("Or not") and Balto's all-out determination. And I already gave my opinion on the part where Dusty follows Kodi after he leaves. And for the part where she goes up to Kodi "What could go wrong?" (or whatever she said) yes, she was being friendly, the that was the only part I remember seeing her actually talking to him without the others being around. If there was a love interest going on, I'm POSITIVE they would've shown more of just those two together. OH and when Kodi wasn't complaining after the race, I'd say that was either beginner's optimism, or just guilt about letting his father go off to find Duke alone that got him to not even think about how sore he was °x° lol

I'm not exaggerating, I really do think he's a dweeb °x° That's my opinion, especially because I know people who act like him. But that's a different story. Think what you want, but the evidence of a D&R relationship is there. People just fail to see it because they think they know what the cartoon is thinking. We only know what they're thinking if the animators show it through facial expressions and body language. The animators showed nothing but chit-chat between Dusty and Kodi. If there was any sign that Dusty was THAT interested, I'm sure we'd all see it in the movie. For example, there would most likely be a head-shot of Dusty glancing back at Kodi, maybe a love-sick sigh would be added in. But nothing of the sort was seen. Now there was SOMETHING like that seen between Ralph and Dusty. Precisly when she was splashing him. That was the only moment we needed to show that there was SOMETHING there between them. It might not have been huge, seeing as the movie is not about them. Now, she may have just been playing around, but if she was, her eyebrows would have arched in a spunky way like ...I can't describe it, but like >:D <----- kinda like that face. But it was more like :icon303: And they also showed Ralph going :P If there wasn't anything between Ralph and Dusty, Ralph would not have made that face. Trust me on this, I'm keen on psychological stuff :icon300:
