Of course, everyone on this site is probably most fond of the original movie, simply entitled 'Balto'.  I can't speak for everybody on the site, but I, at least, enjoy that one the best. :)  But, after enduring the ups and downs of the other two sequels, need there be a fourth?

On the one hand, maybe we could get a few much-asked questions answered:  Who is (or was) Balto's father?  What are the other pups doing?  And, perhaps the most speculated question of all, are Aniu and the white wolf from the first movie the same wolf?  Maybe, just maybe, we could find out.

But on the other, we quite possibly could have to deal with lazy animators, unwanted plots, or bad musics.  They're all fine and well, but they take something away from the original.  The careful time and planning it took to make the first movie would probably be wasted on a fourth one.

So tell me: What do you think?  I'm quite interested to find out what you all have to say on the subject.  (And please, this is my first article; don't attack me!)

As much as I'd love to see a Balto IV, I don't think it would be worth it. Remeber Balto II? The budget was low and the movie was off topic and had bad animation in my view. It's oviouis that the new Universal don't really care about Balto anymore, so imagine making a haft-hearted movie with an even lower budget spent on it. Trust me, I don't think it would work.

Balto2 is just the opposite. and Balto3 is better than Balto2 but not as good as the first. what if they put more effort to the 4th and make it even better than the 3rd! (which is unlikely) I want to see a prequel. better than sequel now.

my opinion is: if they made a forth move the charecters would have to be drawn as the originals, there would have to be no songs, good music, simple plot and few main charecters. these make up a good film. maybe a remake of wolf quest?

They shoulod amke a fourth movie, and I don't care about the lazy animation mistakes... But I still think that universal won't continue with the Balto series. I love Balto just as much as the next person, but I don't think universal has the kind of power and budget to to make another. But I really like this article.

It would be great if they made a balto 4 and bad. Yes if everything back in it's proper place.....all though do you remember this "I HATE YOU!*Alue runs off*" it would be bad if they decided to make a Balto 4 whith Ms.Snotty once again claiming the lead role.

NO MORE. The animation and style would be just HORRIBLE if the same company did it. 'Cause face it, the whole style of the animators has gone horribly throughout the movies. Just look at the anatomy, and even in the way Balto runs in B3 and WQ is horrible animation AND anatomy (if that's what you'd call it). The plotline would be just horrible as well, considering how WQ and WOC came out. I think there'd be no more dignified characters, since Jenna's lost her bravery and became a "motherly" figure. And really, what else could happen in Nome? Not to mention the songs. The whole thing would probably be a musical (not that there's anything wrong with musicals, I adore a good one) and just be more "believe in yourself" and "be yourself" reassuring stuff... Yep, that's my long opinion on it. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Balto, but another sequel? Ugh. I'm sorry if this offends anyone, and great article, by the way. You listed pros AND cons, something I think everyone should do.

If they do make a 4th movie I hope they have it mainly about the important stuff that no one knoes the answers too, It could be about how Balto finds out the truth about something or Aleu coming back, or even about Dusty some how being part wolf and being related to Balto!

Hmm . . . Despite the fact that I enjoyed both sequels (WQ more than WoC actually), I think that it would be best for the sequels to end. Sure, we would like to know what happens to Balto and Jenna's other children and whether they could easily (or eventually) accept their mixed heritage, but I believe that's what the fans are for. As for the White Wolf= Aniu issue: we've already known that the writers of WQ meant for Aniu to be the same White Wolf, despite the differences. So that's settled (whether we like it or not). Other than that, the whole situation of Balto's dad is still a mystery . . . and I think it should remain that way. Of course, that's just my opinion. Anyway, great first article. - Juuchan17

well, in my opinion, I love Balto like everyone on here does. But, we do have to take into consideration that the movie Balto was based on a true story and was made so kids who are younger can understand what happened easier. Personally, I think they should have stuck to only the first one since it was based on the real Diphtheria scare, and the second and third movies are made up. But I like it how you asked everyone their thoughts on the subject.

Most of the time when they make sequels, it's just to get a stupid point across (Follow your destiny in Balto II, etc.) and is thrown together at the last second. I think if they make a fourth one it will be the same as the second: Lazy animators, dumb script writers, bad voice actors, etc! However, you're right, we would find out who Balto's father was, and I would enjoy hearing the new saga unfold in a glorious climax. But, what if it doesn't turn out to be glorious?

I think it would be better if they use external elements, an intro with "The Internationale" and a plot involving a deathly in war situation would be perfect, they should also use more common actors such as Tara Strong and David Kaufman. If I were the one who would direct the movie I would change the repeated scenary of Alaska and move downward to the tropics, maybe Balto working to prevent the invasion of Central America by William Walker or something like that.

Ahh, I think a prequel would be nice. However, judgin by WQ's crappy animation, and the things that I've heard about WoC, (never got the chanc to see WoC) either way, prequel or a sequel, they'd both be on a low budget by a company that doesn't really care, and al in all, would turn out to be a pretty crappy movie.

I personally would HATE to have a 4th one... It's WAY more fun trying to guess all our fave questions-- who's his dad, and who's the white wolf in B1 , and what are the other pups dong? I think is fun trying to guess, and see other's ideas-- a fourth movie would end all that!

I agree that the animation sucked in WQ and stella was a mostly pointless character in WOC, but i think (don't judge) they should make a 4th one with the answers of some of the questions being brought up like who is Balto's mother and father were, and what happened to jenna's other pups. Maybe they should look at selling it to another company, but atleast keep the same characters and animation as Universal made it orginally. If you ask me, people in these companies need to think more about movies for their viewers and what they would like and want to see. I also agree with the Dakota the Black wolf that if they do give it to disney or dreamworks, the animation and drawings wouldnt be the same. Maybe universal should make a website where people can go online and give ideas on movies they would like to see, or make themselves, but can't. I wanted these movies bad enough i bought them $100 a piece. B1 was meant to show the history of what happened in 1925. ( if thats not when it happened, go ahead and correct me). P.S this is my first post, so help me out

If they could make a fourth as good as the first (whick I'm sure they couldn't) then I would be for it and it would be fun to find out some answers btu I agree with Jaypay please no more musicals if they could get an animator who was willing to do the jod right and good then they might actually come out with a great movie again.
