an explanation of why Steele has his specific name

As my article title states, Steele is named Steele for a reason! I was bored one day, so I started typing in Balto character names into my online dictionary. I typed in Steele, clicked 'Go', and what do you think popped up? 'Mt. Steele, highest mountain in the Elias Range, in the Yukon territory, Canada.' Steele is named after a mountain in a mountain range in the Yukon territory, near Alaska! I thought that was was pretty interesting, so I thought I would tell ya'll. Now if only I could find out why they named Jenna 'Jenna'...:)

Redwolf03: Actually I heard that the name "Kodi" is actually one of the most popular names for huskies/sled dogs. It's also, of course, short for "Kodiak" . . . . what a coincidence that he wants to be a sled dog! Heh. I'd like to know where the name "Jenna" comes from too.

I was looking for 'Jenna' on my trusty old online dictionary again. lol I typed in Jenna, and a similar name came up: Jenner. It said Jenner is the last name of a British doctor who came up with the vaccine for smallpox. :p I think I see a connection here. They could've named Jenna 'Jenna' to kinda give part of the plot away for the movie. You know, the dog-sled team went to get the VACCINE for the diptheria, Dr. Jenner created a VACCINE for smallpox...Do ya follow me? If so, does anyone agree with me about Jenna's name?

Dictionary time again. :) I typed in Star this time, and what came up got me thinking. It said that 'to see stars' is supposedly what happens when someone hits you hard on the head. :P Yeah, Star might be named after any number of other sled dogs, but the dictionary meaning makes his name a little more appropriate, right? :idea:

Great, great is bit of a understatment. yes he has a great vioce I suppose, but he's awful. he's selfcentered, rude, judgemental, and he wont give a dog who knows what he's doing a chance. He's not really evil in heart, but I think he looks down on Balto for being part-wolf. Its pride and arrogance that led him to nearly killing Balto. Not that I'm favouring Steele or anything; I'm describing the situation accordingly.:Be_happy:

how do you know they named him after that i mean it is possible that it could be randomly named or something else or what you said but my point is you dont know what he was named after unless your some kind of spy!
