I think the animators of wolf quest intended thw white wolf to be the same, but they really should have done a better job of animating her like she was in Balto 1. i still like to belive there different.

They look entirely different though...the White Wolf is male and Aniu is a female. She is Balto's mother, and the White Wolf actually looked like a wolf... read what Kodi's Kid wrote, I think it was in her article that said the really good info. about Aniu & the raven. They have to be different, because of that, and they look totally seperate. If they were the same, the animators would have at least made Aniu Balto's father, which would be wrong. Neat find, however, keep writing your ideas, we want to hear them!;) :P

Are you serious??? They look completely different! The White Wolf a) must be male because he towers over Balto where as Aniu clearly doesn't and b) has a huge mane, where Aniu has very little neck fur. Their faces are also very different. The White Wolf has slits of eyes and Aniu has almonds. The White Wolf is merely a symbol of Balto himself: the strength and power that brews within him. I don't care what the animators say: they screwed it up! I want to hear it from the original animators!

The whitewolf and aniu are NOT THE SAME WOLF forget the fact that they look completely different and that they are not at all the same size, Aniu, at the end of balto2 when balto sighs and says what now ANIU says only the journey home MY SON, the whitewolf would have also acknowledged this to balto instead of just howling to him, besides the whitewolf acts just like the wolves at the beginning of the movie!!:angry:

I think they are the same but the white wolf is changed. I think that the raven was the white wolf because it went behind balto in balto 2 and then the raven turned into Aniu! I balkto 2 you see Aniu in the corners a lot of times example: when balto is standing and the mist turns into a wolf-Aniu, on the right top corner when Muk, Luk and boris are walking away just after Balto told them to tell Jenna not to worry. Anyway Aniu IS the same but her style is different. I like fuzzball in the first one the most. I call her fuzzball because she is all fuzzy! :)

i'm tired of just reading what everyone said. the first and second were made by completly different people. the people who made balto one never intended for there to be a second one. the people who made balto 2 probably did intend that wolf to be he's mother. and did a really poor job of copying it to wolf quest. so the answer is yes and no.:icon302:

Different animators. I think they are the same, just because they have made other mistakes with other characters that people. They didn't really take their time to insure that Aniu and Wolf-X [] looked the same.
