We know which pup Aleu is, but what about the other five?

In Balto: Wolf Quest, Balto and Jenna became the proud parents of six pups: five that looked similar to their mother and one who looked 'more wolf than her father'. Of course (for people that have heard or seen this sequel, Aleu is the one that was given her father's wolf-like attributes) Aleu is the one that is made to stand out in this litter. But what about the other five?

From watching the film numerous times, only three pups were actually given names. However, only two of them, Aleu and Dingo, were the only ones that were actually spoken during the duration of the movie. The third pup's name is revealed as Saba, thanks to the film's end credits. Thanks to an anonymous source, the makers of the sequel only gave names to the pups that had speaking parts in the film, which leaves three others nameless. Thankfully, one of these unnamed pups is given the name Kodiak (or Kodi, for short) and a 'major' role in the third movie of the Balto series, Wings of Change. The other two pups remain nameless as of today (with exception of Balto fans that may prefer to name them).

Another difficult task for many fans is also of telling the 'Jenna-clones' apart in Wolf Quest, especially since many Kodi fans (and other fans of Wings of Change) have been wondering which of the Wolf Quest pups is actually this popular pup. Yet again from the same anonymous source, my thoughts were confirmed to which one of the pups in one certain screenshot was Kodi. Basically, the writers and the creative team of Wings of Change chose one of the unnamed pups from the 'Wolf Quest 6' and made him as one of the major roles in the third film. My guess to why they chose this certain pup was because of the way that he was so close to his father, as if he really looked up to him (just like his character did in WoC). This decision also seemed to make more sense during the flashback scene in WoC during Jenna's song to Balto.

In Wings of Change, thanks to a beautiful and well-needed flashback, Kodi is shown with the rest of his brothers and sisters (the other two still remained unnamed, since there were no puppy speaking roles in Wings of Change sadly). It is obvious that the Wings of Change animators really improved on making Kodi stand out to the viewer, unlike in Wolf Quest since Aleu was the center of the story and Kodi's name wasn't in existence yet.

So will the other pups recieve their share of knownability in the future tales in the Balto series? Will the next sequel finally help hardcore fans recognize which pup is Dingo and which is Saba? Will Aleu and Kodi make another major appearance? Who knows? Only time will tell for the Balto saga as chances for a possible Balto 4 enters the development stages.

i think that Saba is 1 of the clones i think she maybe the on her dad's hip not sure but i no she's the 1 who was in the box next 2 alue that licked her paw or head b/c it got hurt and Dingo the one with maily red on his face kodi i think could either be on his dad's bac or near his paw can't tell i don't remember his eye color sry :) hope they come out with a new movie that evoles all the pups and (if any) grand pups so that the last 2 get a name :) lol :p °x° :o ;) :/: :cool:

The six are actually called Alue, Kodi, Dingo, Sheba, Saba, and Nutcase. I got this imformation from credits and the films.

Let me get this straight to all of you people. Nutcase, Sheba, Terrier, Kagome and Kiona ARE NOT THEIR REAL NAMES. The red Aleu twin and the red face pup are unnamed, the last pup to be adopted is believed to have been Kodi, the pup who asks if Balto is going to get a human is Saba and the pup that wants to chew on his new human's socks is Dingo. There.

We do know who Aleu and Kodi are, and it's relatively easy to figure out Dingo and Saba. The other two pups (according to the Balto Novel website at freewebs.com/baltonovel) are Malena and Tydye. These we'll just have to guess about. If they did make a Balto 4, then I doubt it'll be about Saba or Dingo; more likely, the other two that weren't named in Balto 2. Some people hope that Balto 4 will be about Aleu again, but this is unlikely. Also, Universal will most likely NOT make Balto 4. We can make as many fanfics as we want, but no more movies, unfortunately.
