Why the raven and Aniu are the same

I'm NOT into magic, but I found a fun fact regarding the raven and Aniu.

In Inuit culture, it's bad luck to kill a raven, because it was thought to be the spirit of a loved one who had died. In Wolf Quest, Balto said to Aleu that he had been separated from his mother when he was young.
At the end, when the raven was seen flying down to the ground, it turned into Aniu. So it's only logical to assume that his mother had died, and in the movie come as a raven to guide Aleu and Balto on their Quest.

I think this is true. In the film, we see several times Aniu in the background, watching Balto, just after we see the raven disappearing.

Balto movie fan, no one in the movie killed the RAVEN, someone killed ANIU. The movie makers must have found out about the inuit tradition that loved one's spirits take on the form of a raven, and used it for Aniu. So in a word, yes, Aniu was killed and the raven is her spirit. They're the same charecter. :)

I'd have to agree with Steet on the white wolf thing. He says that the white wolf was symbolic of Balto's wolf side in the first movie, and the wolf quest team chose the white wolf from the origenal as Aniu.
