I was reading Nymphadora's article about the pups' eye colour when I realised something...

Ok, first, three pups have blue eyes. Agreed. Three have brown. Agreed. Balto and Jenna both have brown eyes. Agreed (well, I slightly disagree, as her eyes seem more orangey, nevermind). So why has it happened? Apart from the crummy animation in B2WQ, what if Jenna's or Balto's mum/ dad's eyes were blue? These things can skip generations. Or, Aniu has blue eyes (or not, bad animation again) so that could help.

So far, we have:

* Parents with brown eyes.

* Three pups with blue eyes.

* Jenna's parent(s) may have had blue eyes.

* Balto's parent(s) may have had blue eyes.

* Fetures can skip generations.

Now, onto 'White Wolf = Aniu' mystery.

IF the statement above about Aniu's eye colour is correct, then, if you observe, the White Wolf has YELLOW eyes. If Aniu actually has orange or brown eyes, remember, the White Wolf has YELLOW EYES!

THEY CAN'T BE THE SAME!

Following up, the White Wolf is very tall, whereas Aniu is the same size as Balto. The White Wolf has large paws, but Aniu has small paws. See where I'm getting?

It was most likely to be a coinsidence that Aniu was a white wolf too, as most young children find something magical about white horses, wolves,ect.

So many questions unanswered, but hopefully this article might have brought us one step colser to answering them.

hmm intreasting, but i belive aniu IS the white wolf, the animation changes a lot around but i still belive the white wolf and ANiu are the same btw good article XD

I agree on the blue eyes, but not on the white wolf mystery. Notice on the Balto 3 game, there's a picture of the white wolf at the bottom, and Aniu on the game part. They' clearly the same!!

I think that between the first and second movie that the movie makers didn't care so much about tiny details like that. It's a childrens movie and is suppose to be enjoyable for the action and the story, I think Aniu was suppose to be the white wolf in the first and second movie but they didn't think anyone would care enough to annilize the movies so closely to see those 'tiny' changes in the art.

First of all staff surgeant bruno is right second THEYRE ARE TWO DIFFERENT ANIMATORS. So truely you cant say anything about the differences between the white wolf in b1 and bwq2 so really i dont care what others say there the same.

I totally agree with the whole thing. I don't believe that Aniu is the same as the White Wolf that appeared to Balto in the first movie. If it is, then why are the eyes different colours, and the fur cleanly groomed unlike in the first movie?

It was confirmed that the white wolf in balto was supposed to be Aniu in B2. I don't get why people don't get that. Either Balto's father had blue eyes, or Jenna's parents had blue eyes, since Aniu is balto's Mother. (Aniu has orange or brown eyes, as you said.)

I think that it could have possibly been the animators than confused the whole thing with Aniu and the White Wolf.(Ugh, animators!) I like to think that they ARE the same, but there's always a 50/50 chance that I could be right or wrong. Anyway, you wrote a great article, and I totally agree with Black Promises. Brown is the dominate gene when it comes to eye colour. So, it just plainly does not make sense that the pups have brown eyes. Especially if BOTH parents have brown eyes.

They might have blue eyes because of cross breeding. Usually like dogs who are Jenna who had puppies with a different breed, usually they have blue eyes because they're not a pure breed.
