erm well Balto has Muk and Luk so thats 4 friends so thats not a common, and Boris isn't a sidekick more like a really good friend and a guide to Balto, Boris isn't with him in the entire movie and Shrek always has Donkey with him through the entire movie. thats all i have to say |

Holy Man.... To me, Shrek would be the last thing that would be
related to Balto. I never noticed that! That is trippy! Nice Article
and Great Job!

Come to think of it, any of you BSers could relate Balto to ANY movie based on chartacter relations alone -.- You know how many movies have love triangles and main characters with social problems? A good majority. |
Sorry, I have a pet peeve with spelling. It's spelled Fiona, not Foinah. |

I second Cat, why are these articles being approved still? |

You younger Balto Source members DO seem to have a peculiar penchant for drawing comparisons between the characters of unrelated movies and cartoons. I'm forced to agree with Cat...on that and this: it is a common practice in dramatic storytelling, in movies and even cartoon movies, to include things such as love triangles, cliff-hangers, unexpected plot twists, character angst, etc. That doesn't happen to make any two of them related in any way. As most of you did, I loved the first Balto movie. And I personally sorta liked Balto 2, and really liked Balto 3. Conversely I, like Saphire, really thought the Shrek movies stunk. Not that the first one wasn't a good story, but it's just not my thing. I could spend a lot of bandwidth elaborating on that, but that draws away from the point here. As I see it, no comparison by design. And none inferred. |

A lot of movies are this way, including Happy Feet and Cinderella. |
Your right. I never thought of that before. Good job. |
