A brief discussion on the she-sled-dog from Balto III: Wings of Change

The character of Dusty, although a supporting character, picked my curiosity (but then again all the other sled-dogs that worked with Kodi did this too). Here are a few reasons why:
.) She was the only girl on the team.
.) There was a certain wolfish-feel in her appearance.
.) I thought she was kawaii (cute, for you not familiar with anime).
.) And did anybody notice that she kinda looked like Aleu if she had become a sled-dog?
The point is this why the character interested me so much, and I really thought they could have given her more lines and screentime in the third film. Let me know what you guys think.

YEAH! They're only a few differences Dusty is slightly a different color and her feet and eyes are different from Aleu's.

It's unlikely that she would have wolf in her, but definetly possible. And yes, I have to admit there is a slight similarity in Dusty's and Aleu's appearances. Interesting article, keep up the good work.

Yeah, I honestly thought that she was Aleu. Their colors are ver different, but then again Balto's colors changed a great deal too (read my article on Balto's changes for more) It does seem possible that she could have wolf in her. However, the style to drawing dogs changed in the animation. In Balto 1 Balto was the only "dog" his shape (slim body, long legs, and large feet) All of the other dogs had small feet as well, and their bodies were shorter in length (comparing) However, Dusty's body was definately shaped, more or less, like Kodi's and therefore more shaped like Balto. Which actually bugged me because she was displayed as a dog, and yet her anatomy was that of a wolf. I know they're similar, but there are some differences. That's why she's interesting to me anyway

Yeah, she probably just picked up the howling from hanging around with Kodi. After all, Jenna howled in that movie too. Does that mean SHE'S part wolf? I think not. I think she could of been granted a bigger role. I would of prefered a Kodi/Dusty angle over the Boris/Stella thing, no offense to anyone who liked that angle, I just think it didn't fit the movie well like Kodi/Dusty might of.
