I know about all of you, you don’t mind because you’re
older. But B3 seems to me to be not a good movie for the young children that
watched it. Correct me if I’m wrong, because I haven’t seen the actual movie in
ages, but I seem to recall that the female goose was a little too seductive.
She waggles her hips, sings a song, has a low, almost throaty voice, and later
rubs Boris’s shoulders.
Also, Balto uses God’s name in vain at least once. This is
not proper in my book, though some of you might not care.

Well depends on how you look at it. but i will tell you one thing that if you want to see all of them you must see the 3rd as well. And personally owning the movie i do not recall him ever saying anything about god at all. Please check your sources. |

I noticed Balto's language, and Stella. You're right, I was annoyed by both of those. They both came as a complete shock to me. Why would the producers do that?? Good article!
I won't lie to you, Stella was kind of on the edge for Universal to let that in the script, especially her song. Doesn't bother me much since I'm older though. |
I always thought the movie would be better off without Stella myself. But I don't remember Boris misusing God's name, and I usually pick up on things like that because they bother me. |

DT--> It was Balto who said that. Your actually right. However, when I saw it as a kid, I didn't really care. I still watched it about 5 times a day! (I'm obsessed) That's just me though.

I think that's about as extreme as you can get in those areas without having to be bumped up to a PG rating. Besides, it's not like Balto said a swear word when said "It's here! My God, it's here!" He was just surprised to see Duke's plane parked near the outskirts of town. |
I hate Stella so much i might die, cause of the reasons you mentioned. |

Seriously... if this is inappropriate, then I am the emperor of Japan. I do not really think small kids would have nightmares or turn into maniacs or nervous wrecks after hearing/seeing this. And before you will start how it is bad to use whatever God's name in vain: this is not a place for a religious discussion. And yes. I should be burned at a stake. I am an atheist,
stupid producers, I am catholic and I can't say God's name in that way. And stella was just wrong it should berated PG |
I totally agree! I noticed all that too.... I agree with Iditorad completley. ( And yes I was suprised when Balto used God's name) |

Well I'd say Stella wasn't a bad character add but they had to add something in so they made her apperance. Anyway for her being too seductive and having a throaty voice. Well to be honest her song did sound like a American bar/club song made in 1920-1930 at those times ladies DID have throaty voice and such of apperances For example: http://cache.eb.com/eb/image?id=85262&rendTypeId=4 She's Mayo Virginia an American actress from 1920. Even if it was a children's movie such a little occasion shouldn't make anyone freak out. =) As for Balto saying outloud "God" Well I don't think it was any kind of a swear as Wolf_Bassist said outloud. It is same like "OMG" nowadays, we all say it whether Surprised or Shocked. We hear "OMG" in chats and in several movies made across the history...so won't say it bad either, as for PG rating, this movie has nothing sexual, no killing, no blood, guts or injuries or no drugs, alcohol scenses or anything that would freak someone out =) That is my point of view |

There is absolutely nothing wrong with Stellas appareance, i mean, come on; I bet some kids ( like my cousins) thought it was something funny. I mean.. it was not like she was showing her most private parts or doing anything beyond light flirt and seduction. I can't blame you tho, your opinion seems pretty Church biased; Balto saying "God" in surprise or amusement isn't something bad.. at least in Catholicism. (using the name of God in vain means when you swear or back your words with his name.) But still, i don't think it's not a religion concern just for saying GOD. Unless you live in one of them extremist religious places down south. |

A lot of poeple are saying that Stella would be better without her in it. That's the big part about it. Balto saying god in a way of shock and suprise... That I'm not sure about. But anyways you pointed
out a good possibility but it really has to depend on how you look at
it. Sure, Stella is a bit of a shameless flirt and most people don't
like her, but I do think Boris could've used a little spice in his
life for my opinion. Everyone do have great points and have their own
opinions, but Stella & Boris' relationship does put the edge and the twist in the
movie. I say B3 was a pretty good movie with Stella in it, and I wonder how much would change if she wasn't. Great Article! |

Mind, I'm not saying it should be rated PG, but, I mean, come on! Was any this is Balto 1? No! So why should it pop up now? No reason! So why is it there? Why? |

Flurrin, I remember it all. I watched the third movie when I was younger and I remember all of it. Balto said God's name when the plain arrived, correct? And a hated how Stella acted, remember when Boris was taking a bath? That was weird. |
BTW, I think there was just too much Boris in the movie. It's called "BALTO 3" Not "Balto 3: Boris's Story"! And I'm a Christioan and sometimes I say it in vain, but I prey for forgiveness. But i hate Stella altogether. ^^ |

I agree. When I first saw B3 I was absulutely shocked! Deefinitly not suposed to be G, it should have been PG. But, then again, the ratings weren't AS strict in 2000, when it was released. |
I hate Stella too, and most of all her song, but I don't think that it isn't good for little childrens to watch

I was embarrassed for the producers and the writers when I saw Stella. It was totally unnecessary for her to act that way, or at least to that extreme. As for the taking God's name in vain part...well, let's give Balto a break. He was surprised, and it's not like he goes around swearing all the time, either. I mean, I'm not allowed to say "Oh my God" but if it's in surprise or shock or something that's a plausible excuse. |

No. There is honestly nothing wrong with it because: 1. Ohh wow they dded slight hormones to the film. Big deal. They do it in loads of movies. A child wouldn't go round saying "Your a hot goose" knowing what it means... 2. Using the word "God" Is very common. When i;m suprised i normally say "Ohh my god" "**** me" Extra. So what is wrong with the word using "God". |

That's the thing, redwolf03. He was NOT surprised. He was way more surprised in the first movie when the bear attacked, but you didn't hear him say it then. It's just a plane! Not a living, growling, attacking thing! They just killed the sequels. |
i know what you mean about stella. her song makes me throw up! |

Kids think it's funny without realising the suggestiveness of it because they don't know it. Not really something harmful. Heck, the FIRST Balto movie was suggestive, remember? "I know where all the bones are buried" from Steele - how is that not suggestive? As for the God thing... welll... common expression now. |
To me, using god's name in vain is not bad at all |
this is small compared to what some animated films do these days.... |
I don't ever say things like "Oh my G-d," and I think they could have left this out. As for Stella...well...I personally think that the movie would have been tons better without her, and if they REALLY wanted to give Boris a girlfriend, couldn't they have made her a little more...I don't know...normal? I liked WoC but, as with almost every movie, there were some mistakes. |
look I agree but he was saying it in shock not in vain. And as for stella Yea she was annoying but that is how the movie is. we can not change what was wrote but saying it is inappropriate I think is taking it way to far! I would recommend this t anyone who has seen the first two. |
Obviously not because: a)There's no sexual stuff; even though Stella was being seductive that stuff happend~s a lot in Disney movies b)The movie is not directed to christians ONLY. I respect christianity and I have some friends around here who are christian, but still I think the only bad thing about that is the mention of God; a movie should remain as secular as possible |
Stella was just to...... well lets put it this way. She came from the bar drunk! |
You guys, the first time I saw WoC was when I was 7, and I didn' t think it was innopropriate. And with the "my god" part, why don't we celebrate instead of argue that Balto's a christian?? |
I see your point. My thoughts on Stella-(the female goose)- I HATE HER!!! I WANT HER DEAD!!!
*raises eyebrows.* One thing for sure: I did here the God part and Stella... well yes I think she IS out of the little kids' leage. |
Well with Balto saying God's name I don't have a big problem with. I hear it a lot when I watch my movies.Same thing with Stella. She did act kinda stupid but I get used to that kind of stuff cuz my mom watches that stuff when I was 3 yrs. So why bother?
I agree with wolfluv. Stella and balto's word is not a big problem.WHO CARES!

The reason why some people get worked up over the word "God" is because it offends them (us, including me by that matter.) There are Christians on this site. Saying God's name in vain can be very offensive sometimes. So hearing it in a film can offend many people. It bothers me badly enough that someone would put that in the script. Oh well.Just wanted to point that out. |
