On June 3rd, just before dawn, a huge blaze broke out, when a crew was useing heating tools for a set. After watching to make shur it was fine, they left for a break. About 45 minutes later, A fire was spoted on the set.
The blaze lasted for about, 18 hours, destroying many buildings, including a vault of many videos. The vailt was destroyed.
There is word that, there are copies of the videos that were destroyed, located somewhere else.

wow.... |

Oh, dear! |

I know that many buildings were burned and destroyed, but most of Universal studios is ok, including the amusement park. Also, the vault that was destroyed was the Video Vault, not the Film Vault. The Video Vault contains the duplicates of the movies, not the originals. The president of Univerasal said that nothing that cannot be replaced was lost, so everything should be ok in due time. |

Whoa... Well, atleast it didn't burn down the originals.

What a shame. At least things can be replaced and such. And noticed a mistake. On what you typed, you said June 3, when it was the 1 as stated in articles. ;D |

its just a good thing no one was inside, but its a shame that it happened either way |

Around Southern California where I live it's huge news. The coverage has probably died down where you guys are. The things that burned down were the courthouse (seen in Back to the Future), a video vault, a soundstage, New York City streetscape, and the King Kong exhibit. |

did you know you spelt "sure" wrong? |
Actually, only part of the courthouse was charred, it wasn't burned down completely. Sora-Kun, you are right that it's still big news here, I'm only a few minutes from Universal City and I still hear people talking about it. :/ |
Thats pretty bad to hear but I'm glad that it were the duplicates that went and not the originals. So more copies can be made to make up the loss |
And yet... Universal moves on... This is why we should not worry. The originals that cannot be replaced in fact can, by a few ways to be honest... But anyway not to worry. |

It happens |

Ohh my! |
