Greetings, oh curious reader...

I recently joined this site, albeit with   SOME reluctance (because I've already been a member in the past, and decided on my own to leave), for a very important reason.   Being an avid afficinado of the real history of the 1925 Nome Serum Run, I have been dismayed, befuddled, and sometimes even very annoyed by the kinds of postings I see in the forums, as well as in the questions and articles sections on the main Balto Source   site, which do disservice (or worse) to that history, or to any of its participants (human or canine).   And I feel a duty to do what I can to   set the record straight, as well as to correct any well-meaning errors, and also to answer questions.   The heroes of the serum run deserve better than they often receive here (through intentional acts, or well-meaning mistakes).
