I don't think that you have to delete your account. Just ask a fanart mod (look at the staff page and send one a PM). But yes, in order to change your username, you must do what Torchwood said. Just be warned that you are only allowed to change your username every three months.

Answer questions is just like a comment! If you mean in fanart or whatever, well then you may have to delete that account and get a new one, but if you want to simply change your name, go to 'edit profile' and click 'change the name'
