A lot of you think that in TLK 1, there was a different cub that Simba and Nala had than in TLK 2. Well here's what really happened. Back when the first movie was made, the writers made a cub at the end that was a boy. You can tell he's a boy because he's the same color as Mufasa and Simba, and different than Sarabi and Nala and the other lionesses.

Years later when the second movie was being made, the writers thought that it would be more interesting if the cub was a girl, since the cub in the first movie (Simba) was a boy. They couldn't give her the colors that the girls had because she was already colored like a boy in the first movie, which is why she looks the way she does. (Some of you also pointed out that the two ceremonies were different. Well, it's an animated movie, so some changes can be made to an extent, but it's still the same idea.)

So that's how it is. There was no other cub in the first movie. It was just Kiara.

Simbas guard is totally right. But i think what you say is also true Akilah.;) Although i do think that Kopa may have been killed,but they want us to think that the cub is Kaira. Kiara's fur i'm not sure about ,but I do like it.:)

well I've never read the TLK6 thing, i had never heard of it until i joined this website, but i always just thought that even though the two cubs look different, that, like simbasguard said, we are just supposed to accept that they are they same

Kopa have never existed, only in the books, not in the movie, Kopa and Kiara is on a way the same person.
