Timon has always been weird, but this went a little bit far.

We all know how interesting the second movie is (the producers didn’t make it as good as the first), but there are so many other things that characters in the movie say (mainly Timon) that slip our ears…and possibly our minds. Want an example?
Timon, while watching Kiara, is pretending we has a mobile radio in his hands, and says the following:

“Echo Charlie Alpha. What’s your position?”

Pumba answers incorrectly. What does the quote above mean? In American radio calls, the first three words (although in this case these phonetics aren’t exactly valid) use phonetics to identify the transmitter’s call sign, although there is normally a “CQ CQ CQ” before the echo Charlie part. Although not used properly, Timon must have, in American terms, a Technician license or better. Pumba would probably be operating under somebody else’s license, by the way he was talking. Make sense?

Timon was just wanting a laugh. As you know, after Pumbaa says, "Upright, head turned slightly to the left, tail erect.", Timon says, "Why do I bother?"
