Who's simba's real son/daughter

In the lion king book, it says that Simba had a son called Kopa; but in the film TLK 2, it says it's Kiara who is his daughter. I looked it up on the internet, and there have been stories saying that Kopa was Kiara's older brother who was killed by Zira (thats why she was banished from the pridelands). Is this true?

My take on this is that Kopa was originally meant to be Simba's son. (One way you can tell is the differences in the cubs at the end of TLK and the beginning of TLKII, plus the different ceremonies.) Disney probably ment for them to be the same... but, I'd rather go with the first one being Kopa. Kopa probably got killed by Zira, resulting in Zira's being exiled, and Simba being overly protective of Kiara, as well as him being hateful of Zira. But most likely Disney just messed up and ended up changing Kopa to Kiara. Go with whatever you want. And Kovu is Zira's son, just not Scar's. He's probably son to another male lion, and Scar chose him to be sucessor. But he is definantly Zira's son.

Okay, FELICIA, calm down, we all love the movies. As for the Kopa thing, I think that it's just a rumour, nothing more, and why Kiara looks like baby simba(AAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWW!), my MOM said that it's one of those legacy things.

Kopa isnt just a rumor he was in the Six New Adventures of the Lion King books. but any ways i agree with whole zira killing him thing it makes more sense, also i think Kopas story would have made a better one than kiaras.

I know someone who worked on making the lion king and accually, in the first movie, that cub is named Chike and all the other names, like Kopa, are just stupid rumors°x° . Chike is a male cub. They decided to not use him because a girl would make the plot more interesting and different from the first movie.

Kopa was not killed by Zira. Kopa was the oringinal cub. They changed him to Kiara b/c there was already a male cub(Simba).

i think that kopa was infact real and was killed, not exactly by zira but it is possible, and that nala and simba then had another cub named kiara, and that is why simba was so protective of her, so she wouldn't face the same fate that kopa did.:icon292:

Kopa being killed by Zira? I don't think so. Good idea, though. I think Disney never planned for a Kopa. If I can think straight, Disney didn't write the book "Six New Adventures". Someone else did, and got Disney to accept it. I believe that maybe in the beginning it was to be a boy, but they just changed it to a girl named Kiara, since they already showed the 'boy' life with Simba. I don't think really anyone died. It's not like it's in the movie or book, though.

zira killed him because he was playing with ziras cubs and she wanted them to focus on hunting but theirs rumours of kopa returning but just let you know tanabi was the one that ran away

well heres the truth the cub that we saw at the end of the movie was fluffy they changed his name to chaka because fluffy sounded stupid. kpa was not a rumor for the truth who said that he was he was in a book i don't know why chaka was changed to kopa but chike? where ever you heard him from it probablly got it mixed up with chaka. then they made it a girl because it would be different. they made shani then they changed the name to kiara. For tanabitopfan, tanabi never existed he was a fan cub diseny did not create him. other people created there own fan cubs but the real cub was kiara. there was no tanabi. if i could change the story i'd make kiara kopa and chaka siblings
