Ok, a lot of you guys think that Simba and Nala had a cub named Kopa, and he was then somehow forgotten and then came Kiara. Well here's what happened. The original writters of TLK made the cub at the end of the movie a male. Then the writers for TLK 2 decided to make the cub a girl. It would be more interesting that way since there was already a boy cub (simba) in the first movie. So there really is no 'forgotten cub'. They just took Kopa and turned him into Kiara to make the second movie more different and a little more interesting.

I have a different theory, that kopa got killed by Zira and that is why she got banished, but if you're sure that this is true, like the disney people said it or you have a cool link to what goes on in Disney. then I suppose I can agree.:/:

i remember them saying somewhere tht KOPA was the son of simba&nala.and i have this coloring book tht says "simba and nala welcome their son into the world" so it was a boy;but probably since the first movie was about a boy the second movie had to be about a girl:P

its not disneys fault they didnt realise that kids like us would contemplate this!anyway, i have a different theory. they put a cub at the end of the lion king to show there was going to be sequal. ANY RANDOM COLOURED CUB. NOT nessecerily Kiara OR Kopa, just a hint to a second movie.

Simba did have two but zira killed kopa because she wanted kove to be king and take over for scar than they had kiara so they wanted to protect her for zira and in the end of the 1st movie u can see that the cub has little hairs on its head which means it's a boy

The problem with this theory of yours (Though it's really likely) is that they had already given Kopa a personality, he was already a character...they murdered him
