i kno of 2 movies that can relate to lk2
lionxxking93 : lk2 SP was a good movie.and i think it was the second sequel that disney ever made.after the lk2 disney had started making sequels the some of their best movies.i think by making the sequels they sorta messed things up.but let me get to my point.lady and the tramp 2 and little mermaid 2 were so much like the LION KING 2 SIMBA'S PRIDE
.the parents from the previous movie have a child
(lk2 kiara,l&t2 scamp,lm2 melody)
.the kids dont like the way the parents act and rebel against them and leave
(kiara runs awy w/ kovu;scamp runs awy to the junkyard gang;melody runs way to live in the ocean)
.the kids eventually go the enemy of the parent or atleast someone they dislike
(kiara goes to kovu;scamp goes to this JUNKYARD leader((name escapes me));and melody goes to morgana)
.the parents end up fighting for their kid back,they fail and look weak
(simba gets hurt from the ambuse of outlanders;tramp get hurt from the junkyard leader;ariel,eric,and king triton look extremely weak against morgana)
.in the end the defeat the bad guy and everyone is happy
(zira dies&kiara gets married to kovu;tramp puts tht dog in the pound&scamp get to keep angel;and morgan dies in ice and melody gets the wall removed from the ocean)

You are not right. Kiara ran away because she wanted to see Kovu after Simba exiled him. Melody ran to Morgana because she wanted to be a mermaid. Morgana seduced Melody because she wanted Triton's throne. I didn't like Little Mermaid 2- It's really bad movie. But SP I love very muchhhhhhhhh! |

Hmm, you do make a good point, but most sequels (recent ones anyway) are similar like that, especially when it deals with the offspring of the main characters of the original. And anonimy is correct: The offspring did run away for different reasons, but there is a connection to it: they all were being defiant of their parents' wishes. Scamp - ran away from home, wanting to achieve his goal of being a "Junkyard Dog". Melody - ran away from home, wanting to discover the truth of the locket and why her parents would hide such a secret from her. Kiara - ran away from home, wanting to find the now-exiled Kovu (she was upset at her father's overprotective nature and cruel punishment for someone that she knew she could trust.), little did she know that finding him would be the key to uniting the two prides, ending their violent feud. And the leader of the Junkyard Dogs is Buster, to answer your question. And Simba's Pride was actually the eighth animated sequel made (The Rescuers Down Under was the first, then the two sequels for Aladdin, and a few other movies - I checked Wikipedia for this information, so it may not be correct.). Still, good points made.

I just noticed that not only in sequels the kids act against their parents- In Aladdin- Jasemin ran away and didn't want to be a princess. Ariel too-She wenr to a forbidden place (to the beach). In the lion king Simba, like his daughter Kiara went to a forbidden place (the elephant grave yard). I was the anonimy! |

Simba's Pride is one of my favorite movies.... I think that
This is a movie with a theme, just like "The lion king".And' I think that Kovu and Kiara are so cute togetherrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!  Simba and Nala too!!

Yeah, i can see your point, the movies do have a lot in commen, but the base story of many movies is that the child rebels agaisnt the parents and runs away to some random place, good point though. and yep! ^^ to gold kitty i do really like TLK two but still it's like NOWHERE near as good as the first one... still i like it =) and Sarafina fanatic, good observationg, i was like "oh yeah!" when i read that  originality peoples!
