Nala is not Swahili, but Zulu. A language spoken in South Africa by the Zulu people. It means "luck". I saw once on Ripley's Believe it or Not a girl who was born under life threatning circumstances and since she lived, the family named her Nhalaa (Nala) which the narrator said means "luck" in Zulu. Kovu means Scar. |
