This article is about the similarities between Balto and The Lion King

In the film, Balto, the main character is a wolf-dog. In The Lion King, it is a lion. At one point in the films, the character feel seperated from the one they love. In Balto, that would be after the race, when he quotes Steele, at Jenna saying, 'You'd better not talk to me, Jenna... I might turn on you.' In The Lion King, Simba knows that he is in trouble after getting chased by the hyenas. He feels far away from his father, Mufasa. Also, in Balto, when the character was feeling terrible, and thought he would not make the journey back to Nome, he realizes that he is part wolf, and that he CAN do it, bu placing his paw in the White Wolf's print. Simbe does the same, only wishing that he were older.
