Nessa : Ok. I was watching the Timon and Pumbaa series with the episode called 'Once Upon a Timon.' Zazu was wondering how Timon was an outsider to meerkats so Rafiki told him how he was banished. Timon was in love and had centar duty so he never got a chance to see the duke's daughter. One day he abbonned his post and troulbe came. A big king combra captured the dukes daughter and Timon waas blamed for abbonneding his post and exiled. Then some hyenas captured him. Thats when jhe met Pumbaa. Pumbaa and Timon find the king cabra with the daughter and rescue her. Timon is allowed back but he chooses to stay with Timon.
The Lion King 1 1/2 is completely different from this story so which one is the real on?

Perhaps Timon was lieing, trieing to make his 'exile' sound unjust, a sacrifice, etc? I wouldn't put it past him...

The series is hard to define as cannon or relible. In one epsiode Pumbaa has memory loss, so Timon get various characters to help revive his memory, including SCAR. So hmm. It seems slightly questionable. |

i think that the lion king 1 1/2 is the real story to what happen.

Yeah, i think the movie, they probably weren't counting on making a movie about Timons past when they made that episode, and decided that it wasn't important enough to stick by for there movie |

Well, both were made for finacial purposes (money) so I don't think either is the true story. The Lion King 1 1/2, well, is The Lion King from a new point of veiw for a new generation. It was made, and correct me if I am wrong, in 2004. And the Series was made in the 1990's. So maybe The Lion King 1 1/2 was the same story with new settings, for if a 4-year-old saw it, they wouldn't know that another story existed before thay were born. |

well the lion king 1 and a half is a movie but timon and pumpa is just a T.V series. |

None, both are not cannon, i mean, Scar died/got eaten right? So why would h be put into the Pumbaa memory loss episode? Like the Lion king 1.5 it was a spoof, a somewhat quick buck. heck, i don't even trust the writers/directors with such information anymore :/ |

->lovelylatias->i dont see why you dont see how neither one can be true...and like i said before and i say it again...they didnt know at the time they made that that they were going to be writing a movie about it later...i mean exactly what yall said they started the movie and book series in the 1990's and then they made a random linking movie in 2004...so i mean think about it...but i do bieleve that the lion king 1 1/2 story was real...FACE! |

Technically... they are both true. Both worlds: The Lion King Trilogy and the Timon and Pumbaa series should be viewed as two alternate realities. I enjoy both stories, but I don't compare them. Obviously, The Lion King 1 1/2 is the superior version. It's far more believable, because it has such a heart to it, and it was created in a much more delicate, artistic style. Being introduced to Timon's family, and seeing the bond of love that surronds the three of them really gives the story a powerful theme. But 'Once Upon a Timon' is still a good film in it's own right. Just enjoy it for what it is. |
