Ok. I was looking at some pictures of Kopa around Kovu's cub age and I notice that they had the same basic design. So, I think that the animator were inspired by Kopa to create Kovu.

a cub wich Simba and Nala had in LK6n ew adventures, and i personally think tha maybe Disney gave all the cubs the look-alike image. I dont think disney intended 6NA to be part of the too movies. its just a book, and if Kopa was INTENDED to exist before Kiara then maybe thats why Simba is so over-protective. and when simba said to Timon and Pumbaa "make sure she doesnt get hurt" might be a lead to this. Zira might have been exiled for killing Kopa. But when Disney made it, they forgot about the book. thats my theory. anyone think the same?????????

Me too. Maybe that's why Simba is so careful with Kiara. Kovu and Kopa do look alike. Their names also start with a K. Maybe the animators never heard of the books. :Sighs:
