Pocahontas and TLK2 are very simular

The Lion King 2 and Pocahontas are very simular. In both movies. . .
1. There are 2 sides(TLK2-Simba's Pride, Scar's Pride. Pocahontas- Whites, Native Americans.)

2. Each side is against the other because they aren't the same.

3.A girl and boy from each side fall in love.(TLK2- Kovue & Kiara. Pocahontas- John Smith and Pocahontas.

4. Their love gets found out and this makes the sides even more furious.

5.The sides go to fight.

6. It is up to the boy and girl to save their families. They rush to the fight.

7. The girl gives a speech to her father and it works. Everyone exept the leader of the other side comes to peace.

8. Something bad happens to the other leader.

9. There is a spirit in both moveis that takes form of fly leaves and stuff.( TLK2- Simba's Father. Pocahontas- Pocahontas's Mother).

These are all the simularities that I could come up wiht. If you find any more let me know.

Well.. same company, so the leaves in teh wind thing is probably a signature of theirs... I haven't seen another movie in which leaves animated just so represent wind... but think about it, you can't draw wind...it's invisible! The lion king was based off of a movie they made a looong time ago, and they admitted it. Therefore I think that pocahontas was just another film to make money more than a production to entertain the masses... they just changed the characters and the scenery. :o :o :o

GREAT ARTICLE.whats really funny and i noticed;usually a second disney movie means tht their kids REBEL against the parents and make them look really weak,other movies like tht would be: lady and the tramp 2 little mermaid 2 lk2

The leaves in Disney movies mean that a spirit is around. But sorry for saying this to you penneydawg another similarity is both sides think they are good. Like The Outlanders and the Colonists want more land. The Pride and theIndians just want peace. Then Zira dies war is done and everybody is on one side. Sweet article dude! I never really compared TLK with any other Disney movie (or not-all of them don't have to be from the Disney company) except TLK 2 and TLK 1.5

Well, The Lion King 2: Simba's Pride was based off of Shakespeare's: Romeo and Juliet. Pocohontas could have been loosely based of it too, therefore explaining the similarities. Great article, BTW!
