Yep, that makes sense. Timon is like a "drama queen" . . only in a more male sense. I think that since almost the entire third movie was focused on Timon, it kind of destroyed the feel of the TLK series. It really didn't feel as important of a movie as TLK and TLK2 were. |

I see what you mean, Ralli-rah. But still, you gotta admit it: he was all drama, kind of like the young, confused teen that wants to find its purpose in life. I agree that, yes, Timon did go through a set of dramatical changes to become the character that he was when the first film ended (or even better, when TLK 1.5 ended). I never said that TImon and Pumbaa were "flat" characters: I just thought of them as useful characters that were comical, but crucial to the story's events. IMO, I'm not a fan of the whole "Timon and Pumbaa retell the first movie in their POV", but I do admit that it isn't that bad once you rethink it. You could try SP - sure, the story is predictable, but it's worth another look at least. (I'd be interested in reading production notes for that too.) |

I wasn't a fan at all myself. I don't think it went well with the first 2 movies . I've only watched it once and left it at that. |

In the beginning of 1 1/2 Timon says something about Pride Rock and says "Where I grew up we didn't have anything to be proud of!"Then the camera goes to where Timon grew up.Then the movie went on from there. |

Timon is just not a good friend, but in the first two he is so loyal to simba, and in the first one he AND pumba saved him,so he has to have some loyalty!Right? |

i think the third wasn't good.

I love all the lion king's movies, because I think every movie of TLK has a special thing: the first movie- Teach you that you can't run from your past, the second movie- Tech you that love has a special power and the third-Has humor. I'm not a fan of Timon and Pumba, I just like their humor. I'm a big fan of Simba, Nala, Kiara and Kovu. |

I think a lot of you really misunderstand Timon. All you do is criticze him and the movie with no thought of the creativity behind it all. The DVD Companion Book explains why The Lion King 1 1/2 was made. They brought a lot more heart and soul to these beloved characters. Take a closer look at Timon. He's the portrayal of pure innocence in the story. He has a great relationship with Pumbaa, and his Ma and Uncle Max. All four of them are great together! The story of their journey is, I think, the most important of all. Remember what Timon says in the film: "Friends stick together to the end." You miss the whole point of it. I think ALL of you need to go back and give the movie another try. I found it rather inspirational. Then again, that's just me. *hugs Timon* My Timmy....... |

The third movie is funny, pointless, and we could do without it. It has no great points except "Find out what you can to and do it best" or anything really good. Another sequel... ![]() Timon hogs the spotlight and ruins all the other good films by butting in wittily whenever something sad, joyful and tense is going on!!! |

I think that the third movie should of been about something else because Timon is well........ a "DRAMA KING" he doesn't care about poor little pumba. Also, the third movie should of been something about the past of Mufasa (did i spell that right?) and scar, and why scar looks different then his brother and all that other stuff. The first was the best of them all and it would always be the best of them all!!!!!! |

It would be very interesting for another film to be made just about Mufasa (yes, that is correct) and Taka (who later names himself 'Scar'), and their relationship as brothers. I am aware of certain stories, books, etc. that address this issue, but I do think that it would make a good 'prequel' film. Everyone could watch the prequel first, then they could immediately follow it with the Trilogy. |

Yeah, Timon has never been one of my favorite charictors exept for the song he sings in TLK1 u know when he and Pumbaa have to distract the Hyennas? i love that song! anywho TLK 1 1/2 was a
poorly made movie for kids and Timon and Pumbaa lovers. |

What's wrong with selfish characters? Timon has always been the more outspoken and straightforward of the duo (Timon & Pumbaa), and so of course he would hog the spotlight. Pumbaa, on the other hand, wouldn't really be fitting for the spotlight, since he's a bit more innocent and shy than his little buddy. He also has some self-esteem issues, which Timon really never seems to have (except in the beginning of TLK1/2, maybe). As much as the sequels weren't as good as the first one, I think everyone on this website complains a little too much about them. Inconsistencies exist in most movies, from little nitpicky things like character colorings to lines that don't make sense because the script went through an impromptu change. I don't think Disney movies should be excluded just because they're Disney movies. And they made this movie because they knew the Timon & Pumbaa show had a solid fan following, as did the Lion King. It was a good way to make money. They wouldn't rightly name it the Meerkat King, by the way, if it was based on characters from an already-existing and fairly well-liked franchise, now, would they? Honestly. |

What I think some of these guys are forgetting is that Timon and Pumbaa are the most crucial characters to the plotine, because, like George Bailey in It's A Wonderful Life, without them the story would be COMPLETELY different! |
