It depends.Scar got his scar via different means due to many non-canon stories.Some say he was injured by a buffalo while others claim it was a form of punishment from etheir Ahdai(his father) or Mufasa. All-in-all , it just depends of what story you're reading.

well... when they were teens Taka and MUffy were good friends like aways. But when Muffy told Taka about him being kind Taka got mad and hurt MUffy. MUffy was shocked and hit him back even harder. So theres your answer!
