In the LK2, Simbas cub is a girl. I read some articles on the web stating that Kopa (from TLK:6NA) was Kiara's brother.

Here is my quesion: if Kopa was Kiara's brother, and then he some how 'vanshed', why would Nala and Simba want another child if their first one is not with them? Please help.

Basicly the books are like an 'alternate universe' type thing. Disney probably thought that if they kept Kopa, things would be to similar to the first movie. So they made the cub a female instead of a male. ;]

In the book they had a boy. However the Lion King producers and directors thought it would be boring having another boy growing up in the Pridelands so they cahnged the sex. Kopa was never Kiara's brother in the film because he doesn't exsist.
