Kovu has a biig tuft of BROWN hair on his head, but cub Simbas is yellow, and not as big, and shouldnt it be red/brown? Like Kovu's?

They probably gave Kovu the head tuft to have more variation between them because without it he'd be near enough the same but in a different colour. They probably thought it looked a bit more evil to have hair on his head at a young age. But as Faremiriel said, he was a little older than Simba was in the first movie. |

I was told once that teh darker the fur the healthier but it could be that Kovu is just older. Or, since it's a kid's movie, it could just be that Kovu is a different type of lion.

No they should not have had the same color tufts because Kovu and Simba were different colors. |
