Hi Vitani is my favourite character.
Poeple say that she did kill Kopa and people say that she attacked him and left him to die in the desert.
I have done some research and at the end of lion king 1 it was Kopa who was picked up in the air on pride rock as a cub but they changed their minds and made him into a girl which is know to Kiara.Hope this answers your question,.

I agree with Dykeskid theorie that they changed it to kiara-------> Vitani is an awesome character!!!!
