I've seen lots of pictures and people saying Zira was white as a cub. Is it true?

Help me :

Thats not possible, if she was white as a cub, she would be it as grown up too, they cant change colour

well just like we change as we grow so do animals but if she were white as a cub its not likly she'd go through such a drastic change in markings and fur color she'd most likly change frome to off white with age and not white to tan and begie
