Could her death be a suicide? When she looked down at the water I think she thought she would land on the logs to keep her alive. And she could have grabbed Kiara's paw to get up on the rock. What do u think?

In the original scene, she did infact commited sucide. But Dinsey decided to change it to falling by accident because having a character in a children's movie commit sucide wouldn't really be sending a good mesage.
