i noticed when Simba went over to pacing he'd siad "what would it prove anyway" , it would prove he was alive!  and he knew because Nala told him , so why didnt he take note of what she'd said?

In my oppinion, he was asking, ''Why should I?'' You have a point, it WOULD prove that he were alive, but remember that he did NOT want the others to know that he was still alive. XD Hope this helps!!
